"By Guess and By Gosh". My grandmother's answer when you needed specific measurements for her recipes. She added a 'dash' here, a 'glug' there. Never writing down directions; always experimenting. After she passed away we discovered cupboards and drawers filled with recipes. It became my mission to decipher and try the well-worn recipe cards, hoping to find a few gems. This resulted in a family cookbook called By Guess and By Gosh containing both grandma’s recipes and other family favorites. Follow me here as I share family faves and new finds, as well as crafty ideas.
